Philadelphia Theatre Company honored with twelve 2008 Barrymore Award nominations

Philadelphia Theatre Company was honored with twelve Barrymore Award nominations at this morning's Barrymore Awards Press Conference in Philadelphia. Three of PTC's 2007/2008 season productions were honored, including the world premiere of The Happiness Lecture. PTC also received recognition for educational programming.

  • Outstanding Ensemble in a Musical
  • Outstanding Set Design - Michael Fagin
  • Outstanding Lighting Design - Chris Lee
  • Outstanding Original Music - Robert Maggio
  • Outstanding Choreography/Movement - Chu Shan Zhu
  • Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Play - Lee Ann Etzold
  • Outstanding Sound Design - Jorge Cousineau
  • Outstanding Choreography/Movement - Bill Irwin
  • Outstanding New Play - Conceived by Bill Irwin
  • Outstanding Ensemble in a Play
Since the inception of the Barrymore Awards in 1995, Philadelphia Theatre Company has been nominated for 134 awards, winning 36 times.
