Third

PHILADELPHIA PREMIERE
By Wendy Wasserstein
Directed by Mary B. Robinson
March 21 - April 20, 2008

Third is the final play from Wendy Wasserstein – the most celebrated chronicler of the urbane, baby-boomer generation of women – who received the Pulitzer Prize, Tony, Outer Critics Circle, and Drama Desk Awards for The Heidi Chronicles. Against the backdrop of academic plagiarism and a polarized America, Laurie Jameson, a well-established professor at a New England college, finds herself unhinged by wrestler Woodson Bull III, who seemingly embodies everything she deplores. As Professor Jameson's life spirals out of control, she is forced to re-evaluate her liberal convictions.

Thought-provoking and amusingly drawn... a first-class production!
